Both beautiful and somewhat sinister... this taxidermy display features a real small mink skull inside a glass cloche dome pedestal display. Atop the jawbone rests a gorgeous Hypanartia Lethe butterfly with it's wings spread for flight. This butterfly has beautiful orange and black markings on the wings. There is a small amount of scale loss in the wings, but it's still an absolutely gorgeous specimen with very vibrant coloring. Antennae were compromised prior to mounting, so they have been removed. Surrounding the butterfly and skull is dried baby's breath and green moss, which really makes the orange in the butterfly POP. Note- this dome is slightly smaller than my other domes... My hand is shown in many of the photos so you can get a more accurate idea of size - It is roughly the size of my hand (7 inches tall). Makes a wonderful addition to any curiosities and oddities collection.
